Loyal School Board Approves New Cell Phone Policy

-The Loyal School Board approved their new cell phone policy at their meeting on Wednesday.The new policy states that kids need to keep phones in their lockers during the school day. The board also accepted resignations from the Band and High School Math teachers, they approved the 2018-19 preliminary budget and annual meeting agenda and they discussed their workman’s comp rating. The district is actually saving money because of low usage rates.
They also agreed to use Marshfield Clinic for athletic trainers next year. Finally, the board set the food service salaries, discussed round 2 of the safety grant in which they’re looking at playground security this time, hired a long-term math sub and approved the Jr. High football coaches.
