Greenwood School Board Hears Finance Updates

-The Greenwood School Board discussed finance matters at their meeting on Monday.The board heard an update on the development of the 2018-19 district budget. The administration also shared with the board the need to consider an increase in the Fund 80 levy. Fund 80 is used to support the Community Fitness Center, Summer Recreation and Kids Club afterschool program. More information will be shared with the board at the September meeting. The board approved the 2018-19 Ala Carte lunch prices with no price increases. The board also approved the 2018-19 contract with Clark County ADS for dishwashing and vacuuming services at the elementary school.
Also, the board tabled the Teacher Mentoring Handbook, Volunteer/Chaperone Handout and MS/HS handbook language requiring behavior and conduct while being a member of a club or an organization. These items will be considered at the September meeting. The board reviewed an initial draft of the 2018-19 district priorities and possible action may be taken on those at the September board meeting. Finally, the board discussed a revised district administrator evaluation form as they are looking to better involve all board members in the evaluation process.
