Neillsville City Council Discusses Economic Development Items

-The Neillsville City Council discussed and approved several items at their meeting on Tuesday.The council discussed three requests for Economic Development Funds that were brought before them including the annual contribution to The Highground, an ad in the Clark County Visitor’s Guide and a retaining wall project at the parking lot east of 541 and 543 Hewett Street. These items were first discussed during an Economic Development Commission meeting held on July 30th.
The council also discussed the health insurance renewal, the Christie property on Hewett Street, a donation to the city’s K-9 fund and the appointment of a Heritage Days Committee member. The council also heard the Beautification Committee Report from July 26th. The committee put in a bid for several different varieties and colors of flowers for the summer of 2019.
