Man Sentenced for Misrepresenting Home Improvements in Clark County

-A man was sentenced for misrepresenting home improvements here in Clark County.Back in 2016, A Thorp man found Danny Joles fixing lightning rods on the roof of a building without permission. Joles stated that he was fixing the lightning rods under warranty, but then solicited more work, with the total coming to $4,000. The man paid Joles’ son Levi Joles. Another man said he found Danny fixing lightning rods on a roof on a Neillsville property and pulled the same scam, this amount for $1,200.
Danny Joles pleaded guilty to theft through false representation. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 3 years’ probation and owes the courts $789.95. Levi Joles was sentenced earlier this year to 2 years’ probation and owes the courts $948.
