Public Service Commission Approves New Energy Efficiency Programs

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Public Service Commission has approved a new energy efficiency program intended to serve Wisconsin's rural and agricultural energy customers.The new program focuses on the agricultural and industrial needs of Wisconsin's rural communities by offering over $8 million in incentives. To better streamline the initiative, the agency has directed Focus on Energy to create a rural and agricultural energy efficiency program within the 2019-2022 quadrennium.
PSC expects to award incentives of $3.1 million within the agricultural sector, and another $3 million within the industrial sector. Another $1.9 million will be allocated towards small business and residential customers, and an additional $300,000 in propane offerings will be made available.
