Black River Falls Man Sentenced for Possession

-A Black River Falls man arrested in Independence for possession was sentenced in Trempealeau County Court on Monday.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, on January 8th, around 3:15pm, they stopped Jeremy Mayo. A K-9 unit was requested during the stop and alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. After searching the vehicle, 35 grams of meth were recovered. Mayo was arrested and booked into the Trempealeau County Jail for possession of meth with intent to deliver and probation violations.
During his court appearance on Monday, Mayo was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession with intent-amphetamine as a repeater. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison and 2 years extended supervision. He also owes the courts $176.
