One Person in Custody After Multi-County High Speed Chase

-A multi-county high speed chase ended with one person in custody on Tuesday.According to the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Department, a gas skip in Wood County began the chase finally ending in August. The chase ended on County Road M just south of Highway 12. The vehicle hit a construction zone, which damaged the car and ended the chase. There were three people in the car. The driver fled on foot after the chase ended. Two women remained in the car and were held, treated for minor injuries and then released.
The driver, after a 90 minute search, was located on the roof of an apartment building in Augusta. The names of the individuals involved have not been released, but the driver is facing several charges from different counties, including fleeing and officer here in Clark County.
