Change Orders and More at Greenwood City Council Meeting

-The Greenwood City Council approved several items at their meeting last week.The council approved change order #1 for the E &W Begley Street project and they approved pay request #3 for $430,926.27. The council also put a bid in for some playground equipment. The treatment plant is purchasing a new effluent pump because the old one was struck by lightning, so the city clerk will check with the insurance company to see if covered. The city also made an offer to purchase a building in Greenwood.
Finally, they’re officially putting an ad in the paper for a new Clerk/Treasurer position, they will schedule a meeting to discuss what/where/when to do a mock disaster, they approved an operator’s license and Scott Haines was present to introduce himself and why he is running for sheriff.
