More Clark County and Central Wisconsin Schools Selected for School Safety Grants

-Several more Clark County and Central Wisconsin schools were selected in the next round of school safety grants from the Wisconsin Department of Justice.Attorney General Brad Schimel announced a list of schools and school districts that have been awarded the next round of grants through the Wisconsin Department of Justice School Safety Grant program, administered by DOJ’s Office of School Safety. The funds will be spent on building safety improvements, as well as training for faculty and staff. Grant dollars are divided into two categories: the Primary School Safety Grant and Advanced School Safety Grant. The newest local schools selected for the grants include the Abbotsford School District for $43,155, the Loyal School District for $62,505 and the Pittsville School District for $41,032.
Other school district selected with this round of grants includes the Spencer School District for $42,217, the Stanley-Boyd Area School District for $82,204, the Thorp Catholic School for $2,280 and the Thorp School District for $42,400. They join previous Clark County recipients of the grant including Owen-Withee with $66,585, Greenwood with $41,564 and Neillsville with $44,080.
