Clark County Health Department's Community Forum Tonight
Thursday, July 19th, 2018 -- 9:00 AM
-The Clark County Health Department is inviting residents of Clark County to attend a community forum tonight at 6:30pm at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center. The reason for the forum is to seek input from community members regarding the Clark County Health Department becoming an Agent to the Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection. By becoming an agent to DATCP, the Clark County Health Department would assume responsibility of administering the current Retail Food Licensing Program. Doing so would make this a locally operated program. The goal of this Program is to prevent food-borne, water-borne, and other illnesses from affecting Clark County residents and visitors by licensing and inspecting involved establishments. The licensed establishments are limited to food and lodging facilities such as restaurants, grocery stores, hotels and motels, as well as recreational facilities such as swimming pools and camps.
Currently, this program is administered by the State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Anyone interested in learning more about this program, the process of becoming a DATCP agent, and to provide input is invited to attend a discussion session as referenced above. Please call the Clark County Health Department at (715) 743-5112 if you have questions.
