2018 Wisconsin Square and Round Dance Convention Coming to Marshfield August 10th-12th

-The 2018 Wisconsin Square and Round Dance convention is picking up steam.This year’s convention will be held August 10th-12th at the Marshfield High School. This annual convention regularly attracts over 600 dancers. Spectators are welcome to observe anytime during the convention. For interested non-dancing visitors, there will be several open and free introductory sessions in the Commons area. For experienced dancers, the convention offers many options for all dance levels. New this year will be a ‘light’ mainstream hall, in addition to offering mainstream, plus, advanced, challenged, rounds, line dancing, contra, and dance by definition.
The convention is packed with education sessions, such as first time meet and greet sessions, workshops, intro to dances at varying dance levels. Some hex dancing, progressive squares and heritage dance sessions are planned, as well. There are plenty of dance times to participate in during the 2018 convention.
