Quick Meeting for the Neillsville City Council

-It was a quick meeting for the Neillsville City Council Tuesday night.The council heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, cleaning brush and compost, street sweeping and more. Some other items of note include the tree grant removal project is completed and they will be reimbursed for that soon. The Non-Compliance Letter the city received for the sewer plant has been reversed after the city spoke with the DNR about their situation. The city is still working on the FEMA project at 822 Grand Avenue.
The department also completed street line painting, they’ll be flushing hydrants, and the E. 6th Street and Prospect Street Project is complete. They department also assisted with Heritage Days set up and helped with the bandstand project. The council also heard a Heritage Days Committee report from June 27th, which was held just before Heritage Days occurred.
