The Streets of Farm Technology Days to Look a Little Brighter Thanks to the Memory Pots Project
Monday, July 9th, 2018 -- 8:00 AM
-The streets and various display areas of Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will look a little brighter, thanks to the Memory Pots project.Nearly 350 recycled mineral pots have been sponsored by people who wanted to honor or remember someone special. Project leader Carol Tomke says each pot contains a variety of flowers along with a sign identifying the name of the person being honored. Most of the flowers have been donated by area FFA chapters and local nursery businesses. Sponsors of the pots will be able to take the displays home upon the closing of the three days event.
The floral donations were made by several different organizations and businesses including the Abbotsford High School, Auburndale High School, Engel Wood Nursery in Spencer, Granton High School, Marshfield High School, Mid-State Technical College, Pittsville High School, Russell Farm Market in Plainfield, Shopko in Marshfield, Spencer High School, Stratford High School, Things That Grow in Neillsville, Urbans Greenhouse in Rudolph and Walmart in Marshfield. Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will be held near Marshfield in Wood County July 10-12.
