City of Loyal Still Working on Splash Pad

-The City of Loyal is still working on their new splash pad.

The idea behind the splash pad started years ago when Loyal resident Kaila Fitzl, at just 12-years-old, asked the city council back in 1988 if they could build a swimming pool near the golf course.  The idea was tabled, but the concept was not forgotten by Kaila.  As she contemplated what the city would like down the road, she thought it would be great to have a splash pad in Loyal.  She hopes that a splash pad will provide a fun place for the kids to gather and a social gathering place for families.

The project is well underway as the City Utilities Committee worked with a Splash Pad Vendor and a potential site and design were developed.  The city then reached out to the Clark County Community Foundation asking to act as the fiscal agent for this project.  So far, the foundation has raised around $20,00 for the project.  If you’d like to donate to the project, please contact the Clark County Community Foundation.
