The Highground's 4th of July Ceremony

-The Highground will have its Independence Day ceremony on Wednesday, July 4th at 10am.Jon Weiler, General Manager of The Highground, gave a brief description of the event.
"We do have a speaker coming in from Ft. McCoy. Every 4th of July, we actually do bring a speaker in. It's a rather small event. So, we do have a retired military officer from Ft. McCoy and he's also now a civilian at Ft. McCoy. He has a very interesting bio."
Pastor Doug Bjerke will give an invocation and the guest speaker will be Mike Modawell from Ft. McCoy. Mike has served for 30 years in the US Army and he served in Germany during the fall of the Berlin Wall. He also hunted war criminals in the former Yugoslavia and provided anti-terrorism training to more than 30,000 soldiers deploying to Iraq & Afghanistan.
