1897 Clark County Jail Museum Hosting Weekly Sharing History Discussion Groups Beginning this Tuesday

-Beginning this Tuesday, July 3rd, the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum will be hosting a weekly Discussion Group from 10:00 am to Noon.With a different topic featured each week, the Museum is offering an opportunity for anyone interested in local history to stop by and see what the Museum has on the subject, and share their memories, stories and photos from years past. Light refreshments will be available, so stop by and reminisce awhile. This Tuesday’s topic is the Lumber Days of Clark County on July 3rd. Future topics include Neillsville History on July 10th, Car Dealerships on July 17th, Dance Halls and Music on July 24th, Schools/Rural Schools on July 31st, The Clark County Fair on August 7th and Churches of Clark County on August 14th.
As a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, the Jail Museum accepts donations of photos, artifacts, printed material or other items of interest that have ties to our Clark County history or the people who lived here. The Museum is open for public tours each Sunday afternoon from 1pm-4 pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekends each year. Private or Group Tours are also available, by appointment.
