Augusta Man Sentenced for Drug Charges in Trempealeau County Court

A man arrested during a busy day for the Trempealeau County K9 Unit was sentenced in Trempealeau County Court.
Back on March 9th, the Trempealeau County K9 Unit made several arrests. During a traffic stop in Whitehall that day, the K9 found heroin, marijuana and a loaded firearm in the vehicle. Gage Lewallen of Augusta was arrested.
During his court appearance on Tuesday, Lewallen pleaded guilty to possession of narcotic drugs and carrying a concealed knife. Several other charges were dismissed and read in.
He was sentenced to 2 years in prison followed by 2 years of extended supervision. A sentence of 1 year probation was withheld.
