Minor Items Approved at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council approved a few items at their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved extending the hours of Schuster Park for the Heritage Days events happening next weekend. They also approved rescheduling their August 14th meeting. August 14th is the primary election day in Wisconsin, so the council approved moving their meeting a week earlier to August 7th. The board also approved a donations totaling $3,040 for the hanging baskets and other decorations in the city. Finally, they approved a $300 donation from the Neillsville Rotary Club for the flowers in Town Square. The council also heard some committee reports. They heard the Historic Preservation Commission meeting held on June 14th. The Commission discussed dropping the price of the 2018 calendars, discussed their 2019 calendars, discussed the Christmas Tour for this year and discussed some grants.
The council also heard the Heritage Days reports from June 14th and June 20th. They discussed and heard updates on new events, Miss Neillsville, sponsorships, volunteer help, Blindman’s Volleyball, Schuster Park’s hours and more.
