Neillsville School Board Approves Many Items at Monday Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved a long list of items at their meeting on Monday.The board approved a donation of helmets and shoulder pads from the Neillsville Youth Football Association for Middle School Football. The board also approved the capstone project for this school year. They’ll be building a cabin five minutes out of town. However, the board noted that the advisor will have to keep them more involved in the selection process as they, and the District Administrator, weren’t aware of the project until they received the agenda for their meeting. The board also approved leaving the meal prices for the next school year the same as this past year. They also approved the WIAA membership, and, for the third year in a row, there was no cost to the district.
The board also approved the Health Services Contract with Memorial Medical Center. The contract is the same as last year. They approved changes to the staff handbook. The biggest changes involved fixing grammatical errors. They also approved some curriculum revisions to the district’s Spanish classes and the Foods 2 class.
