Shilts To Make ESPN Debut In July

ESPN announced on Tuesday that Special Olympics Wisconsin athlete Daina Shilts of Neillsville will make her debut as the Special Olympic Analyst during the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle beginning on July 1st.ESPN's Kevin Negandhi and Daina will begin coverage with a live 2 1/2 hour special on ABC with the USA Games Opening Ceremony. According to the network, Daina will then report live from athletic venues throughout Seattle from July 2nd thru the 6th. 3,500 competitors from across the country and District of Columbia will be participating in the premier national sports event for Special Olympics programs in the U.S.
The 2018 Special Olympics USA Games will also mark the beginning of an extended period of Special Olympics coverage on ESPN. They will also provide coverage celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Special Olympics in Mid-July in which Daina will again be featured as the network goes behind the scenes of the Snowboard Special Olympic medalist.
