-In less than a month, the 2018 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will get underway in Wood County. The event, happening from 9am-4pm, July 10th-12th at D&B Sternweis Farms, along with Weber’s Farm Store-Heiman’s Holsteins, on County Highway H near Marshfield, will feature over 600 exhibitors, innovation square, field demonstrations, virtual farm tours, delicious food and much more.
There are a large variety of events, activities and demonstrations happening over the 3-day event. During the recent Media Day for the event, I spoke with Mike Gronski, the Field Demonstration Chair, and he explained what kind of demos are going to be at Farm Tech Days this year.
"For the 2018 show, our demos are going to be focused on forage harvesting. So, at each respective session, we're going to have demonstrations of mowing, merging and also chopping. Our blocks are going to run from 10-Noon and also 1-3 each day. And the goal is to have each demonstration going during each time slot.
Mike also explained that various companies will provide the equipment for the demos.
"As of today, we've got 10 different manufactures that are going to be supplying different equipment."
Once again, Farm Technology Days is happening from 9am-4pm, July 10th-12th at D&B Sternweis Farms, along with Weber’s Farm Store-Heiman’s Holsteins, on County Highway H near Marshfield.
