Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators' Report

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported that the district has submitted a DOJ School Safety and Security Grant application through CESA 10. If funded, the things to be addressed include security film on main entrance doors and windows, new classroom door hardware, security film on classroom door windows, security cameras and improved signage. The district is also looking to improve security at the main entrances in both schools. They will be working with SDS, an architectural firm from Eau Claire. A Community Listening Session on school security has been scheduled for Wednesday July 25th in the high school cafeteria.
Finally, Mr. Felhofer provided an end-of-year recap. Staff appreciation events were held in both schools, the Senior Awards Banquet featured over 80 scholarships awarded with a total of over $250,000 given away. A senior picnic was held in Scherer Park, the 2018 Graduation ceremony was live streamed and still can be viewed through the webpage and Kelly Nielsen was given a school send-off prior to her trip to the State Track Meet.
