Man Arrested in Osseo for Possession Appears in Trempealeau County Court

-One of three people, including a Neillsville woman, arrested after a meth bust in Osseo last month appeared in Trempeleau County Court on Tuesday.According to the Osseo Police Department, they pulled over a vehicle at Rose Lane and Thomas Street. The officer noticed signs of drugs, so he requested the K-9 Unit. The dog found a meth pipe, meth and drug paraphernalia. Three people were arrested as a result of the stop. They include the driver, Scott Weyland, and his two passengers, Matthew Simone and Jessica Hackett. They are facing possession and obstruction charges. Hackett, from Neillsville, was sentenced in Clark County Court for a rash of vehicle break ins around the city and is now facing a probation violation because of this arrest.
During Simone’s initial appearance on Tuesday, he waived his preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’ll be back in court in a couple weeks.
