Colby Woman Enters Plea for Crashing Car into a Creek

-A Colby woman arrested after crashing her vehicle with three children inside into a creek appeared in Clark County Court on Thursday.According to court records, Emmalee Dingee ran to a home around 1:40am on December 22nd after her vehicle overturned and landed in a creek. Dingee had a 3-month-old child and a 4-year-old child with her and a 18-month-old child was sitting in the snow outside the vehicle. The woman and the children were taken to the Marshfield hospital for an evaluation. Dingee initially refused to take a breathalyzer test while she was there, but she finally took one 8 hours after the crash and blew a .04.
During her court appearance on Thursday, Dingee waived a preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her. However, a plea and sentencing hearing has been set for the end of this month.
