Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Appointments

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a few appointments to start their meeting on Wednesday.The board approved reappointing Connie Opelt, Jerome Weiler and Mark Shain to the Planning and Zoning Board of Adjustments. They also heard the 2017 Annual Report from Planning, Zoning and Land Information and the recently completed Strategic Plan for the Clark County Fairgrounds. The board also had the 2nd reading amending the Clark County Shore Land Protection Ordinance. DNR review found that certain lots and zones in the county need to be amended to meet state statutes. The board also approved a resolution conveying some land to the State Department of Transportation.
The land is at the intersection of Highway 10 and 12 and amounts to 6.94 acres. There is no fiscal impact against the county. The board also approved the sale of 1.03 acres of land to a private landowner. The final cost is $1,800. Finally, the board approved the transfer of funds into various accounts including coroner, fire suppression, victim/witness program, tax deed expense and ATV Patrol. The amounts varied from a low of $239.78 to a high of $12,580.96.
