-The Stanley Police Department is warning residents about a new hacking trend that’s sweeping the area. The trend, known as ‘juice jacking’ allows hackers to download your information if you plug your phone into a free public charging station. Hackers can get passwords, emails, banking information and more from your device.
Police say the best way to avoid this is to charge your device from your vehicle or from home. If you have to use a public spot, turn off your device.
