Stanley-Boyd School District Making Changes to Lunch Program

-The Stanley-Boyd School District is making some changes in regards to their lunch program.The Stanley-Boyd School Board held a meeting with parents and administrators earlier this week to address some issues that had occurred with student lunches. According to reports, students who had a negative lunch balance were having their lunches taken and thrown away. The district denied the food was thrown away, but did say some students were having their lunches in sealed containers taken and put back so another student could purchase it.
The board said one change that was made is that students are paying for their lunch at the front of the line, as opposed to the back, so they know right away if their account is in the negative. They also said that better communication is needed with parents so they know when the account is in the negative or close to it.
