-The Clark County Community Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the winners of its 2018 Scholarship Programs.

Six Clark County students have each been awarded a $300 Clark County Community Scholarship to be used for tuition or other post-secondary educational expenses this fall. Now in its fourth year, the Community Scholarship Program was created to provide additional financial resources to eligible students living in Clark County and pursuing an education beyond high school. This year the Foundation received more than 40 applications representing eleven Clark County school districts. This year’s winners are Ellie T. Knodle a graduate of Neillsville High School, Bailey Krause a graduate from Colby High School, Paige C. Mertens a graduate of Thorp High School, Briana North a Greenwood High School graduate, Paetyn Lynn Schmitz a graduate from Greenwood High School and Megan Simington, an Owen-Withee High School graduate.

In addition, the CCCF is pleased to announce the first recipient of the Harry & Esther King Memorial Scholarship. Created in 2017 by the children of Harry and Esther King, this scholarship honors the memory of their parents who were long-time Clark County farmers and strong advocates of the benefits of education. The scholarship of $250 is available to Neillsville High School graduates, preferably those going into the fields of agriculture or education. The first recipient of this scholarship is Jenna Byrne.
