Clark County Aging and Disability Resource Center's Final Listening Session Tomorrow
Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 -- 8:00 AM
-Every May, the Administration of Aging, part of the Administration for Community Living, leads our nation’s observance of Older American’s Month. The theme for 2018 is Engage at Every Age, which emphasizes that you are never too old, or too young, to take part in activities that can enrich your physical, mental and emotional well-being. It also celebrates the many ways in which older adults make a difference in our communities. Participating in activities that promote mental and physical wellness, offering your wisdom and experience to the next generation, seeking the mentorship of someone with more life experience than you are just a few examples of what being engaged can mean.
The Clark County Aging and Disability Resource Center would like to invite you to engage with them in a listening session in preparation for the 2019-2021 Clark County Aging Unit Plan. Your input is needed to develop goals and objectives regarding advocacy, the elder nutrition program, caregiver support, services to people with dementia, healthy aging and local priorities. They’ll be holding one final listening session at the Thorp Senior/Nutrition Center tomorrow, May 31st, at 1pm.
