Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, cemetery and parks maintenance, street sweeping, filling pot holes and more. The tree removal grant project is moving along. They are marking locations for trees in progress, stump grinding is complete and new trees should be planted later this week. The department is in the process of doing some flow monitoring at the sewer plant, the FEMA projects continue to move forward and the demo at Black River Road is complete. They also installed some curb and gutter and installed new flags. The department also received a notice of noncompliance from the Wisconsin DNR.
The council also heard a couple committee reports. They heard the Heritage Days Committee report from May 10th. They discussed beverages, Miss Neillsville, movie night, 2018 pottery and food vendors. Finally, the heard the Board of Review report from May 21st.
