Fire at Marshfield Business

(USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin) -No one was injured Monday morning when firefighters responded to a fire at a Marshfield business.Masonite, at 1401 E. Fourth Street, reported a fire just after 9:20am on Monday. A machinery malfunction is believed to have started a fire in the ductwork. Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained in the ducts. Firefighters were on scene for about four hours. No one was hurt and the plant is able to continue operation.
Marshfield Fire Chief Scott Owen said in a social media post Monday that he was proud of the way the fire crew handled the situation and got the fire out. It also was the first time the department's new Truck 1 was used, Owen said.
