Two People Involved in Stabbing Near Medford

(USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin) -Two people were hurt Thursday after a fight resulted in a stabbing on County Road Q, south of State Highway 64, in the Town of Medford.The two men involved ??" 24-year-old Stormy Webber of Medford and 25-year-old Derek Novak of Phillips. The men confronted each other on the side of the road over relationship and child care issues, a statement from the Taylor County Sheriff's Office said. The argument turned physical and Novak retrieved a military style knife, stabbing the unarmed Webber several times, the statement said.
Webber was air lifted from the scene for treatment of his serious injuries. Novak was also taken to Aspirus hospital of Medford for treatment of injuries before being taken to Taylor County Jail. The investigation into the stabbing is ongoing.
