Two Finalists for Superintendent of Marshfield School District

Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 -- 8:00 AM

(WDLB) -A former Marshfield science teacher could be the next Superintendent of the School District.

Ryan Christianson is one of two finalists named by the Board of Education as possible replacements for Dee Wells, who is retiring this summer. The School Board and three advisory committees have completed initial interviews conducted Monday, and the two finalists will now participate in a public presentation this afternoon at 5 p-m at the 2nd Street Community Center. The Board will then meet in closed session at the end of the presentations and determine which candidate or candidates will participate in a second interview scheduled for Monday, May 14.

Christianson taught science in Marshfield for seven years from 1996 to 2003. He is currently the Director of Human Resources for the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools, a job he’s had since 2012. The other finalist is Dr. Tony Brazouski, who earned a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature from Marquette University and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership for Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University.
