Clark County Fairgrounds' Strategic Plan, Part 1

-Several Clark County departments recently completed a strategic plan for the Clark County Fairgrounds.The purpose of the plan is to provide a guide for future projects at the Clark County Fairgrounds. I spoke with Rick Dailey, the Forestry and Parks Department Administrator, and Melissa Kono, the CNRED Agent for Clark County, and they talked about how the plan got started.
Rick: "So, it's something that has been discussed for a few years; the condition of the fairgrounds and the updates needed to some of the buildings. We wanted to move forward with something, but do it in an orderly and planned fashion. And, with that in mind, we thought a strategic plan for the fairgrounds was the best route to start that."
"There was already some groundwork for the plan started in 2015 with a fairgrounds visioning session. The visioning session was moderated by Melissa Kono and the Friends of the Fairground were heavily involved in that."
"After that, in 2016, their was a fair visioning session."
