Organizational Matters at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board took care of organizational matters at their meeting on Monday.Dewey Poeschel was re-elected as Board President, Sue Voigt as Vice President, Peggy Grap as Treasurer and Deanna Heiman as Clerk. Deanna was also selected as the CESA 10 delegate for the next school year and Peggy Grap was selected as the WASB delegate for the next school year. Sue Voigt was selected as the alternate WASB delegate. The board then approved the student insurance renewal with First Agency in the amount of $14,895.00. They also approved the Project Search contract with the Unified School District of Marshfield for the 2018-2019 school year. The board also discussed strategies and plans regarding future school safety measures.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. District Administrator John Gaier reported on the CESA 10 Annual Meeting, staff training on drug endangered children, a Focus article, the Community Eligibility Provision, the Neillsville Dairy Breakfast, baseball field upgrades and an article from Central Wisconsin Broadcasting. Finally, the board approved the initial adoption of Policy JEBC.
