Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau's Annual Meeting

-The Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau held their Annual Meeting at the Loyal American Legion Monday afternoon.Those in attendance enjoyed a delicious meal and heard about the many things the CCEDC worked on the past year and some projects coming up in the future. They also heard from Glen Schraufnagel of CESA 10. A Clark County native and former teacher in Thorp, Glen talked about the Youth Apprenticeship Program. This program is mutually beneficial to the student involved, their school district and the business that’s looking for workers. They also heard from Riley Hebert. Hebert, a Clark County native, News Director of WCCN and one of the organizers of the Clark County Young Professionals, talked about the young professional’s upcoming Blitz Event at Parkway Pines in Greenwood on Saturday.
Finally, Jon Weiler, the Executive Director of The Highground, talked about some of the many projects and events being held at The Highground. He also helped introduce the Yellow Ribbon Campaign. This campaign is being used to celebrate The Highground’s 30th Anniversary which will culminate with a big day of events on September 22nd.
