-Rabies is a highly infectious, deadly disease which presents a serious threat to domestic pets and to humans, if bitten by an infected animal.Prevention of rabies in cats and dogs is possible by having your pet periodically vaccinated against rabies as required by state law. The Clark County Humane Society is sponsoring a Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, May 12th. The clinic will be held at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Neillsville from Noon until 2 pm. In addition to the rabies vaccine, DHLPP and CVRC, commonly called distemper, will be offered for dogs and cats. The Rabies, DHLPP, and CVRC vaccines will cost $15.00 each. Lyme’s Disease vaccine and Bordetella vaccine for dogs will also be available and will cost $20.00 and $10.00 each, respectively. Feline Leukemia vaccine for cats will be available for $15.00 each. Also available at the Clinic will be microchipping.
Microchipping is the best technology in pet identification. The cost will be $15 per pet for chipping and lifetime registration. All proceeds will benefit the animals at the Clark County Humane Society. No appointment is necessary. Please bring your pet on a leash or in a carrier. CCHS reserves the right to refuse admission to a pet that is not under control. Remember to bring your pet’s previous vaccination records. Please take advantage of this once a year opportunity to keep your dog or cat healthy and safe.
