Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday.

For the month of March, the Neillsville Police Department had 109 complaints, 48 service calls, 88 traffic citations, 93 traffic warnings, 5 crash investigations, 25 ordinance citations, 12 adult arrests, 3 cases referred to the district attorney’s office, 10 juvenile cases and 82 parking citations. March of 2018’s numbers proved to be much higher in most categories compared to March of 2017. Some other items of note include a meeting Police Chief Scott Klueckmann had with representatives with the Personal Development Center in regards to a Lethality Assessment Program. Chief Klueckmann also investigated a sexual assault that was alleged to have occurred in the Sunburst Youth Home back in the mid-90s.

The department also assisted the City Health Officer, provided Active Shooter Response and Chief Klueckmann attended a chief’s meeting. Chief Klueckmann also mentioned that with the 7 impaired drivers they removed from the roads, 6 involved drugs and only 1 involved alcohol. The chief also mentioned a body camera study done in Las Vegas and the Neillsville Police Department has seen similar results since they implementation of body cameras for the department.
