Clark County Under Very High Fire Danger

-More of the state of Wisconsin is seeing higher fire danger.Though the snow may be melting and some areas are dealing with flooding because of it, the dry, sunny conditions have caused much of the state to face high fire danger. Central and western counties are facing very high fire danger including Clark County and our neighboring counties of Chippewa, Eau Claire and Jackson. Counties to the south are seeing high fire danger and counties to the east and north are seeing moderate and even low fire danger. Taylor, Marathon and Wood counties are all under moderate fire danger.
The number one cause of wildfires is debris burning. Being in very high fire danger, the DNR asks that you not burn any debris while cleaning our yards. If you do burn, make sure the fire is small and manageable. Also, have tools and water nearby so you can gain control of the fire should it start to spread.
