Greenwood City Council Approves Several Items

-The Greenwood City Council took care of organizational matters at their meeting last week.The Oath of Office was given to Ryan Ashbeck, Tracy Nelson and Mayor Jim Schecklman and Tracy Nelson is the council president. A resident spoke about sidewalk issues on East Begley street and the city will refer that to the city engineer. Also the Greenwood Police Chief will be applying for a grant for new vest for the police department and the council approved a building permit to Jill & Louie Fortuna. The city may also replace sidewalk on West Central Avenue from Main to Hendren at no cost to the property owner.
Finally, the city approved the Administrative Services Agreement with West Central Regional Planning for Clean Water and Safe Drinking loans not to exceed $18,000, approved a handbook change for purchase orders from $500.00 to $1500.00 before approval by the council and they approved a Proclamation for Fair Housing in the city of Greenwood.
