Clark County Board of Supervisors Take Care of Organizational Matters

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors took care of organizational matters at their meeting on Tuesday.The Oath of Office was administered to all the returning and new board members. The new board members were introduced as well. The board then approved the elections of their members to the various committees. The board also approved the Land Conservation Department to apply for a grant that would provide funds to create demonstration farms. These farms would be created in the Mead Lake area and would provide demonstrations on how to prevent manure runoff and soil erosion. Another resolution was sent back to committee and the board discussed a third resolution as well.
The board also heard the 2017 Annual Veteran’s Report. There are over 2,000 veterans in Clark County. The Veteran’s Department offers service regarding service and non-service disability and dependent benefits. They also do a lot with community outreach including Veteran’s Day Ceremonies, benefit services and more.
