Owen City Council Approves Appointments to Board of Review

-The Owen City Council approved the appointment of their Board of Review Members at their meeting last week.The council approved John Mauel, Charlie Milliren and Allen Wagner to the Board of Review. The council also approved making some employment changes. They approved having their outgoing city clerk, Terri Ernst, be moved to hourly employment at the rate of $19.50 per hour with an average of 13 hours per week, as needed. Carol Devine, their new city clerk, will be bumped up to full time employment with a wage of $17.91 per hour. Tim Swiggum, also, will be bumped up to full time as the CDC Director at his present wage of $14.22 per hour. The council also approved having some of their members and the CDC Director attend the 2018 CCEDC Annual Meeting on April 30th in Loyal at the cost of $25 per plate.
Finally, the council approved having their farm rental land be rented to the same party again this year as long as it is paid in full by their next council meeting and they moved to table the Comprehensive Planning Update-funding to the next meeting at which time more information will be obtained.
