Greenwood School Board Approves Moving 2019 Graduation Date

-The Greenwood School Board approved moving the next school year’s graduation date at their meeting on Monday.There was concern about the Graduation Date of June 1, 2019 conflicting with the State Track Meet. After a discussion the board approved moving Graduation to Sunday June 2nd of 2019 at 1:00 pm. The board also approved the Coaches Handbook and approved bringing middle school baseball and softball under district direction beginning in 2018-2019. The board also approved an update on the development of the 2018-19 budget, approved the first reading of NEOLA Policy Update 27-1 and the board directed administration to develop cell phone procedures for 2018-19.
Also, the board approved the 2018-19 Professional Staff and support Staff Handbooks. Finally, the board approved a 2% salary increase for professional staff, $0.30/hour increase for support staff with less than 7 years of service, and $0.60/hour for support staff with 7+ years of service. And they approved the bid by Norm’s Lawn Care for 2018-19 & 2019-20.
