Greenwood School Board Approves Field Trips

-The Greenwood School Board approved a couple field trips at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the Spanish Club trip to the Festival of Nations in St. Paul, MN on May 3rd and the Forensics team overnight trip to the State Forensics meet in Whitewater. The board also approved a Family Medical Leave request from Lisa Hinker and approved 5 new volunteers. The board also accepted a monetary gift for the elementary school playground project, a monetary donation to the elementary school from former teacher Joan Bodamer, and two teachers received funding for requests through Donors Choose.
During the communications portion of the meeting, three community members spoke regarding school safety and security, the 2019 Graduation date, and class placement at the elementary school. Finally, the board heard a presentation. Noah Werner, Technology Education teacher and two students, Coby Schuck and Jonah Hinker shared with the board the exciting projects and opportunities that the GHS Manufacturing Club and the Vex Robotics program afford students.
