Mixed Commodity Prices for February

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The February average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.34 per bushel, up 18-cents from January, but down two-cents from last year, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.Soybeans averaged $9.43 per bushel, up 22-cents for the month, but 43-cents lower for the year. The oat price was $3.06 per bushel, seven-cents lower than January, but 42-cents more than February 2017. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $129.00 per ton, up $5.00 from January and $41.00 above last year.
Alfalfa hay was $138.00 per ton, up $8.00 for the month and $46.00 for the year. The other hay price averaged $96.00 per ton, $2.00 more than a month earlier and $29.00 more than last February's price.
