Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Trail Grant Applications

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors began their meeting on Tuesday with a presentation.The board heard a presentation on wind farms due to a company’s interest in creating wind farms in the Loyal area. The board also approved a resolution offering condolences to the family of Howard Schultz, a former county board member. The board also approved the grant application for 2018-19 snowmobile trail maintenance funding. The county is eligible for annual funding of snowmobile trail maintenance of $300 per mile. The county, and cooperating snowmobile clubs, maintain just shy of 370 miles of trails. The county could receive up to $110,970 for trail funding.
The county board also approved the grant application for ATV/UTV trail maintenance for 2018-19. The county is eligible for funding of their trails, with the amount varying depending on the type of trail, either summer, winter, UTV or troute. The county maintains just shy of 236 miles worth of trails and could receive $69,012.15 for the trails.
