Clark County Tourism Committee Discusses Wide Variety of Topics

-The Clark County Tourism Committee discussed a wide variety of topics at their meeting on Wednesday.The committee heard an update on several ongoing projects including the Barns of Clark County, Barn Quilts of Clark County and an upcoming workshop on how to make them, the Spring into the Arts Tour that starts at the end of April, the Bloomin’ Greenhouses Kick Off event at the end of April, an update on the newly formed Clark County Young Professionals, marketing for the Clark County Dairy Breakfasts and City Wide Garage Sales and the Community Marketing Project. They also discussed some other items concerning Clark County including a new paddling the Black River brochure for the county, the upcoming Deer Panel Meetings, housing needs in the county, farming issues and the merger between Memorial Medical Center and Marshfield Clinic Health System.
Finally, the committee heard an update from Forestry and Parks on several items including a brief rundown of the Strategic Plan for the Clark County Fairgrounds. They discussed the upcoming Farm Tech Days and Clark County’s presence there. And they heard about many upcoming, exciting events happening at The Highground this year.
