High-Risk Traffic Stop in Neillsville this Morning

-This morning, around 7:28 A.M., at the intersection of East 4th Street and State Street, officers from the Neillsville Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office conducted a high-risk traffic stop here in Neillsville on a vehicle because the driver had an active warrant from the Department of Corrections.Officers conducted a high-risk stop because the suspect, Anthony Houston Lee, had an extensive criminal history and it was unknown if he was armed. Lee complied with officers so he was taken into custody without incident. No weapons were located on Lee or in his vehicle but a small amount of marijuana was seized from the passenger.
This arrest occurred one block from the Neillsville High School but at no time was there any danger to the staff or students at the school.
