Augusta Man Sentenced for Misrepresenting Home Improvements

-An Augusta man was sentenced for misrepresenting home improvement here in Clark County.Back in 2016, A Thorp many found Danny Joles fixing lightening rods on the roof of a building without permission. Joles stated that he was fixing the lightening rods under warrant, but then solicited more work, with the total coming to $4,000. The man paid Joles’ son Levi Joles. Another man said he found Danny fixing lightening rods on a roof on a Neillsville property and pulled the same scam, this amount for $1,200.
Levi Joles was sentenced in Clark County Court last week. He was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, two counts of pressure into home improvement contract and several other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 2 years’ probation and owes the courts $948.
