Neillsville City Council Heard Officer's Report

The Neillsville City Council heard the Officer’s Report at their meeting on Tuesday.For the month of January, the Neillsville Police Department had 126 complaints, 59 service calls, 79 traffic citations, 63 traffic warnings, 9 crash investigations, 3 ordinance citations, 12 adult arrests, 1 case referred to the District Attorney’s office, 6 juvenile cases, and 69 parking citations. It was noted that most of the numbers for January were higher than a year ago and the department has found itself busier than normal for this time of year.
Some other notable items included a death investigation, some active shooter training for a couple departments, some fire safety and nuisance violations for the owner of the Olde Hotel, a high speed pursuit and some continued violations of the city’s new sidewalk ordinance.
